Course Content

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS
The "Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Engineering" course offers an in-depth study of the principles and applications of electromagnetic fields. The course begins with the basics of electric and magnetic fields, exploring Coulomb's Law, Gauss's Law, Biot-Savart Law, and Ampère's Law. Students will learn about the behavior of electric and magnetic fields in different media and the concept of field lines and flux. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to Maxwell's equations, which form the foundation of classical electromagnetism. You will study each of Maxwell's equations in detail and understand their implications for the behavior of electromagnetic fields. The course also covers electromagnetic wave propagation, transmission lines, and waveguides, highlighting their importance in communication systems and other applications. The course emphasizes practical applications, including the analysis of electromagnetic fields in electrical devices, antennas, and transmission systems. You will learn about the principles of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and how to design systems that minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).
